Sheriffs Jim Cummings, Tom Hodgson, and Joe McDonald Endorse Jesse Brown for Congress

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - The Jesse Brown for Congress campaign is proud to announce the endorsements of Barnstable County Sheriff Jim Cummings, Bristol County Sheriff Tom Hodgson, and Plymouth County Sheriff Joe McDonald, all of whose towns make up a majority of the MA-9th District. Since day one of his campaign, Jesse Brown has been a strong advocate for law enforcement, promising to support their efforts to keep our communities safe.

“Jesse Brown will make sure our first responders and law enforcement have everything that they need to do their jobs effectively,” stated Bristol County Sheriff Tom Hodgson. Jesse will be a strong advocate to secure our borders on the federal level so that we can finally stop illegal drugs like Fentanyl that's killing 300 young adults every day from pouring into our country. Jesse is dedicated to the safety of Bristol County as well as the entire 9th District.”

“Jesse Brown will stand by our men and women in blue who keep us safe. With Jesse in Congress, we will have a partner who will work with us on the public safety issues that really matter to Cape Cod and Islands, and the entire 9th District,” said Barnstable County Sheriff Jim Cummings.

Jesse Brown understands what law enforcement needs to keep our communities safe, and also knows how law enforcement is struggling with recruitment and staffing shortages. I have no doubt that his commitment to the people of the 9th District is exactly what we need,” said Plymouth County Sheriff Joe McDonald.

It is an honor and a privilege to have earned the endorsement of Sheriffs Cummings, Hodgson, and McDonald,” said Jesse Brown.Their dedication to public safety is unmatched, and as the next Congressman of the 9th District, law enforcement and first responders will always have my full support.

These endorsements come on the back of additional endorsements from law enforcement and public safety organizations on both the national and statewide level, including the State Trooper Coalition and the State Police Association of Massachusetts.
